Unpacking the Contents: Abundance

Hi friends, it's Rumini here!

I've been loving my new seasonal perfume Roll & Go Oil! The Abundance blend is just what I need to enhance moments of self-care during the autumn days.

Every essential oil and aroma that I use to create my blends is intentionally chosen.

Many of my blends start with an idea or concept. In the case of Abundance I wanted to capture the feeling of an autumn harvest and of prosperity and abundance.

Essential Oils:

Citrus sinesis (Sweet Orange), Citrus bergamia (Bergamot), Citrus limon (Lemon), Citrus paradisii (Grapefruit):

I chose a lot of citrus oils for this blend! My main reason in chosing the citrus oils is that they are indeed abundant. A fruit tree produces lots of fruit within a given year or season. They can be a symbol of harvest and prosperity (Think of harvesting apples; apple cider, apple sauce, apple juice, apple butter, apple pie and the list goes on. You need a lot of apples to make all of that and the harvest does not diappoint!).

The citrus oils in the blend lighten the aroma and give a feeling of sunshine to autumn harvest days.

Piper nigrum (Black Pepper), Juniperus communis (Juniper Berry):

These two essential oils I chose because both of the oils are harvested from berries (Berries, plural!).

Black pepper berries are the fruit of the climbing vine and the fresh berries are gathered and crushed then distilled to create the essential oil.

The berries from the juniper shrub are harvested and then dried before distilled to make the essential oil.

Berries, in general, whether juniper, black pepper, or raspberries, strawberries or blueberries, come in abundantly and there isn't just one of them!

The black pepper gives the blend a pleasant spicy note, and the juniper imparts a light, fruity aroma.

Cupressus sempervirens (Cypress)Cedrus atlantica (Cedarwood), Commiphora myrrha (Myrrh):

All of these oils were chosen to symbolize the 'earth'. Planting seeds, tending a garden or a field, then gathering, harvesting and enjoying the fruit of your labor all starts with the earth. The soil, rich in nutrients, gives life to the seeds and creates an abundant harvest for what was planted.

Cypress, Cedarwood and Myrrh essential oils are all hearty, earthy aromas to create a sense of connection to the soil and the nutrients and life within.

Syzygium aromaticum (Clove bud):

As well as the berries listed above, clove also gives a sense of multiple, many or more than one.

The aroma of the clove bud is spicy and sweet with a classic fall fragrance. It gives warmth and comfort to the blend.

Other oils:

Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) oil - Gives a base for the essential oils to be blended in. Nourishing to the skin. Mimics our own skin's sebum.

Non-GMO Vitamin E oil - Nourishing to the skin and provides a stablizing element to the final blend.

My hope is that this blend gives you a feeling of comfort, autumn days and a sense of an abundant life!
