Hi friend, it's Rumini here.
I wanted to unpack the contents of what is in my new seasonal Hope blend. I also wanted to give the meaning and reason for why I chose each of these oils for this particular blend. They all have a purpose!
Essential Oils:
Citrus bergamia (Bergamot):
The citrusy oil of bergamot gives a light, uplifting air to the blend. Waiting for something we want, or a dream we're working on, can be hard and wearing on the soul. Bergamot gives our heart and emotions stability during periods of waiting.
Anthemis nobilis (Chamomile, Roman):
Traditionally the chamomile flower has meant 'patience in adversity'. While we look forward to something with hope, we often need patience. Waiting can be difficult -- we need all the paitence we can get.
Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender):
The lavender oil gives a Spring-like floral note to the blend. Hope feels renewed in the Spring time.
Citrus limon (Lemon):
Lemon, like the Bergamot mentioned above, gives the blend a light, citrusy note. It also can be used to represent Spring cleaning; a clearing out of the old to make way for the new.
Rosa damanscena (Rose Absolute):
Another essence chosen for it's Spring-like floral note. You can almost hear the rose saying, 'A fresh, new beginning is right around the corner'.
Other oils:
Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) oil - Gives a base for the essential oils to be blended in. Nourishing to the skin. Mimics our own skin's sebum.
Non-GMO Vitamin E oil - Nourishing to the skin and provides a stablizing element to the final blend.
